Father Rene' Canales Moderator/ Master of Ceremonies

Father Rene was born in El Salvador and at the age of 16 came to the USA. He was ordained a Priest in 2006. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy, Masters in Theology, and an MBA in Church management from Villanova University. 

He is the Moderator of the Camden Diocese Catholic Renewal and also serves at the Regional Hispanic Ministry of many parishes. Fathers love for the Church is seen in his vibrant and energetic preaching. He is a beloved spiritual leader who inspires all to live their faith joyfully. 

Father’s love of the Holy Duet of the Holy Spirit and Blessed Mother is evident in his teachings. The Holy Spirit speaks powerfully through Father Rene and leads the faithful with deep inspirations of Gods direction.

Father Ariel Hernandez ~ Guest Speaker

Rev. Ariel Hernandez, a priest for the Camden Diocese in New Jersey, was born and raised in Argentina. After completing his studies at Jesus the Good Shepherd Seminary in Argentina, he was called by Our Lady Queen of Peace to the priesthood in the United States. He was ordained by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio on the Feast of Our Lady, Help of All Christians in 2003. 

He was the first pastor of The Parish of the Holy Cross in the Bridgeton area where he merged five churches into one parish. He is now the pastor of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in the Newfield area which has four churches and two shrines, including the outdoor Padre Pio Shrine in Landisville. He served as Associate Vicar of the Spanish Apostolate in the Camden Diocese. He continues to work with the Spanish Apostolate and is an instrument of union and healing for the American and Spanish cultures. He is very active in the healing ministry and he celebrates a monthly Healing Mass at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. 

He founded an Emmaus Ministry at his parishes to help families grow spiritually. He offers Silent Retreats for men and women to help them grow in holiness. He has an active Farm Ministry during the summer months to unite workers and owners. He founded the Caritas Christi Food and Clothing Pantry which serves the poor and the immigrants. He instituted Couple Retreats to strengthen marriages. He provides all of these services in both English and Spanish.

He is devoted to Our Blessed Mother under many titles. Father Ariel received a special gift from the Blessed Virgin under the title of Our Lady of Schoenstatt and he is the custodian of a miraculous image of her from Argentina. He celebrates a Mass in her honor every 18th of the month and he communicates her message of love to all.

Father James Blount, SOLT ~ Guest Speaker

Fr. James Blount is a priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Trinity – Georgia Mission. A very gifted Spiritual Director and Confessor, Fr. Jim is a bold charismatic preacher endowed and empowered with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He speaks of living a life in relationship with each of the Persons of the Holy Trinity, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. His teachings depict his deep love for the Eucharist and his intimate relationship, love and devotion to Jesus and Mary draws many souls to also fall in love with them.

Father is a powerful instrument of the Holy Spirit as evidenced by so many stories of miracles, healing and conversions. His talks help to increase awareness of the intense Spiritual Battle in our present world where evil has waged war against the Sacred thus aiming toward the destruction of holy family life. 

His humble boldness and untiring drive to minister to the lost and ill are particularly noteworthy. Dedicated to his healing and deliverance ministry, Father travels preaching and proclaiming the Gospel whenever and wherever he can, in the United States and abroad.

Rebekah Hardy - Guest Speaker


Rebekah is the Campus Minister of Rowan University in Glassboro NJ. Rebekah holds a degree in Theology and Religious education from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg MD. Through her blog “Classy Catholic” Rebekah evangelizes to today’s youth by addressing topics of faith and relationships. Rebekah’s blog is read in hundreds of countries and is shared on the popular Catholic speaker Jason Evert’s “Chastity project”webpage.

Rebekah enjoys praying the Rosary, Adoration, sports, coffee, reading, and experiencing God in creation. By telling her story, Rebekah shares the excitement and joy of finding a life overflowing with purpose. 

Through her time in ministry, Rebekah has spoken at many retreats to over 3,000 college, high school, and middle school students. She has spoken at the Mount 2000 retreat and various retreats for individual schools.

Ricky Vazquez

Ricky Vazquez is a full-time bilingual worship leader and recording artist of Puerto Rican descent who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

He has led worship for Life Teen International, summer camps, and men’s retreats, performed at SLS and SEEK conferences for FOCUS, and has shared his music and gift for worship at multiple Steubenville Conferences across the country, diocesan conferences, World Youth Day in Panama, Catholic Heart Work Camps, European Training Conferences, Guam's World Youth Day, college retreats, and parishes across the U.S. and abroad. 

As a secular artist, he has toured the country, and his full band releases “More Heart Than Sleeve” and “Ghost of You” both have charted in the top ten on iTunes. Beyond that, Ricky is a man of faith trying to portray the beauty of

life through song.

Junior Youth Track - Norberto Cruz

Norberto Cruz will be leading the Junior Track. He is a native from Vineland NJ. He was taught at early what it means to love and serve the Church. For the past three and a half

years has work unceasingly as the Youth Director of our Parish Community in St Jude Church in Blackwood. He has a tremendous love, compassion and the necessary patience to work with the youngest of our Community. Every child that encounters Norberto’ receives Gods’ presence.

Norberto Cruz has demonstrated leadership by actions and guidance. Fr René on Norberto Cruz, “Personally, I have never encountered a zealous person who loves Church and

Community likes Mr. Cruz.” His heart transcends creed, race and culture. He is a New Jersey Son. 

He was born in Vineland NJ to a good family well known for the Love of Church Community. He is very proud of His Puerto Rican Heritage. He exemplifies what being a Latino is all about.

Doors open at 9 AM (SATURDAY ONLY) and the night concludes around 9 PM. 

We are so excited and blessed to have Fr Ariel Hernandez lead the retreat. He is bringing with him the miraculous image of Our Lady of Schoenstatt, a first class relic of the newly canonized St. Nunzio and a first class relic of St. Padre Pio. The special guest throughout the day include beautiful religious sisters from Argentina, Fr Rene', Fr Blount and Rebekah Hardy.
