Fr.  Rene Canales was born in La Unión, El Salvador.  In 1995, Father decided to move to New Jersey and in 2011 after almost 20 years of a long struggle with the immigration system he obtained permanent resident status in the United States,. Today, Father Rene celebrates the sacraments in Spanish and English.

Father Rene is a beloved spiritual Father, that has taught many what it means to evangelize with joy. We are so blessed as a committee to have Father Rene as our Moderator and spiritual director of the CDCR.

Father Joseph Iannuzzi is a theologian and doctoral alumnus of the Gregorian Pontifical University.


He has earned 5 post-graduate degrees with studies in medicine, music, anthropology, philosophy, and theology.

Father Joseph Iannuzzi is a theologian and doctoral alumnus of the Gregorian Pontifical University.


He has earned 5 post-graduate degrees with studies in medicine, music, anthropology, philosophy, and theology.
He was the New York State wrestling champion and was awarded the gold medal for his performance and a first violinist with the New York high school orchestra.  He received a full scholarship to the university of Pennsylvania where he studied medicine. He obtained a Ph.B. in Philosophy and was awarded the Kilburn Award, a B.A.; a Licentiate in Sacred Theology summa cum laude at the Urbaniana Pontifical University of Rome.
Having been was one of four selected students to receive a grant from the Pontifical Biblicum University to study theology in Israel, Fr. Joseph obtained a Doctorate in Sacred Theology magnum cum laude at the Gregorian Pontifical University of Rome on the writings and doctrines of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta. The title of his doctoral dissertation is, “The Gift of Living in the Divine Will – An Inquiry into the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta the Early Ecumenical Councils, and into Patristic, Scholastic and Contemporary Theology.”
Fr. Joseph was for many years the assistant to the exorcist of Rome, Fr. Gabriel Amorth, he has authored 20 publications and has translated numerous works on mystical and dogmatic theology. Fr. Joseph is presently the Theological Consultant (peritus) in the cause of beatification of several Catholic mystics.

After pursuing a career in engineering, Fr. Byerley answered God’s call to the

Priesthood and was ordained on May 25, 1985, for the Diocese of Camden, New Jersey.

He completed his studies for the Priesthood at Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary in

Emmitsburg, Maryland, with a Master of Divinity. Later he attained a Master of Arts in

Christian Spirituality at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;

a Master of Theology in Ecumenism at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New

Jersey; and a Doctorate in Religious Education at Fordham University in New York, New

York. He also earned a certificate in Spiritual Direction from De Sales University in Center

Valley, Pennsylvania.

Fr. Byerley has initiated programs for youth and young adults, and organized

lecture series, pilgrimages, special liturgies, concerts, and retreats. He has been a spiritual

director of seminarians and of various lay apostolates, and authored three books: St. John

Neumann: Wonder Worker of Philadelphia; The Great Commission: Models of

Evangelization in American Catholicism; and Maria Esperanza and the Grace of

Betania.

MARRIAGES HAVE BEEN RECONCILED AND SOME COUPLES WHO COULD NOT HAVE CHILDREN WERE

BLESSED WITH CHILDREN. HE WAS THE CATHOLIC CHAPLAIN AT PRINCETON MEDICAL HOSPITAL

 Rebekah Marier is the Coordinator of Mission and Heritage at Ursuline Academy where she serves as Campus Minister, Theology teacher, and Service Coordinator. Rebekah is also the founder and hostess of the “Call Her Blessed” podcast- a podcast for the modern-day  Catholic Woman which covers topics of spirituality and relationships. Rebekah’s podcast has reached thousands of people in 28 countries. This podcast has led to Rebekah giving many retreats, most notably, a retreat to a group of young people in Sweden. Rebekah  is also the Coordinator of Women’s Ministry for “Born Dignified” which is a site working to bring this generation of young people to God through showing each person their intrinsic worth. Throughout her time in ministry, Rebekah has spoken to hundreds of thousands  of people on topics of faith. Rebekah is recently married and lives in Delaware with her loving husband. Rebekah enjoys Eucharistic Adoration, hiking, and Philadelphia Sports.

Tommy has many gifts that he shares unselfishly with all he meets, especially his devotion and love of Mother Mary. His music is a prayer that stirs the heart and 

the mind with a fire of love for God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Tommy's music illuminates the path of heaven with a holy anointing that allows the soul to soar to the throne of God.
